If you are a permit operator of an offshore petroleum production installation or a drilling contractor of a non-production offshore installation, you must have a current certificate of fitness for the installation, unless you have a recognised verification scheme.
These interpretive guidelines explain the regulations associated with certificates of fitness and verification schemes under the Health and Safety at Work (Petroleum Exploration and Extraction) Regulations 2016.
