The victim was an employee of the defendant company. On 9 March 2014, the victim was asked by a customer in the store to cut some wood. As the victim used the defendant’s radial arm saw, his left hand came into contact with the rotating blade of the saw. The victim suffered partial amputation of his left middle and index fingers at the middle joints, and severed nerve on his left ring finger.
