WorkSafe has consulted on new good practice guidelines for adventure activity operators that focuses on managing the risks from natural hazards.
About the draft guidelines
The new guidelines aim to describe, in plain language, how to manage the risks from natural hazards by:
- defining what a natural hazard is and providing examples of them
- providing information about how to identify natural hazards
- providing information about how to assess the risks from natural hazards
- providing information and examples of how to manage risks from natural hazards
- providing information about technical advisers and when an operator may need to use one.
The consultation opened on Tuesday 25 June 2024 and closed on Friday 19 July 2024.
