Kia haumaru! Kia matatū! (Be safe, be alert!) is an NZQA-approved online course and micro-credential in health and safety, based on the SafePlus toolkit.

Course content includes SafePlus health and safety principles and practices, risk management, and health and wellbeing at work.

Who this course is for

This course is for anyone who is not a health and safety professional but has responsibility for, or a role in, health and safety at work. This includes leadership roles in small- to medium-sized businesses, as well as line managers and health and safety representatives (HSRs) in larger organisations.

About the course

Kia haumaru! Kia matatū! is at Level 4 of the New Zealand Qualifications and Credentials Framework (NZQCF) and is worth five credits. The course takes around 50 hours of online study, and you'll have six weeks to complete the course. Enrolment numbers are limited.

Micro-credentials recognise the achievement of specific skills, experience, and knowledge.
